Basildon Delivery brings the essentials together in one manageable place: a shop website, products, online orders, collection and local delivery. Shops have access to a network of local riders and decide which riders they want to work with.
Why we are building it
Getting online should feel manageable.
Many small retailers know that customers expect to find products and place orders online, but conventional websites can be expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to maintain.
Our aim is to remove that unnecessary complexity. A shop can start with a simple storefront and a focused range of best sellers, keep control of its own products and payments, and add more when the business is ready.
For shoppers, that means an easier way to discover what nearby shops sell and to choose local collection or delivery where available.

Basildon Delivery is being built by local people, with direct responsibility for how the service develops and supports participating shops.
Mark Crosby
I’m Mark, the person building the technology behind Basildon Delivery. I’ve worked with websites, servers and local media for years, and I also know what delivery work is like from the rider’s side. I wanted to create something genuinely useful for independent shops, built locally and supported by people they can actually talk to.
Daniel Line
I’m Dan. I’ve been part of Basildon Delivery from the very beginning, helping turn two years of conversations and ideas into the platform you see today. I enjoy meeting local shop owners, hearing about their businesses and making sure they have someone approachable to speak to. I’ve also worked as a delivery rider, so I understand the service from the road as well as behind the scenes.
